Solsticial shit has begun. The Revenants are out in force; they attacked me in a town not too far from Kilsheelan. They're organised guys; they caused two blackouts to cover their entry and escape.

I probably shouldn't have gone back there but I needed to test a theory. Either way, I managed to escape, thankfully. Slendershit himself wasn't there; probably preparing elsewhere.

I'm gonna lay low until the New Year. Expect one or maybe two posts between now and then. I'll still be watching you guys though, so look after each other and stay safe.

Fuck, wank, bugger, shitting arsehead and -hole

So, I crossed over. The tiredness went away, I felt my strength returning.

But when I returned, he was waiting.

I tried to run but he started using the compulsion on me. I could feel his voice in my head, not speaking at all but telling me what to do nonetheless.

I managed to escape him somehow. I don't even remember how, I just remember the sudden feeling of freedom when the whispers were gone.

If this is gonna happen every time I recharge, I'm gonna need more planning. Shit, why do things always have to be so feckin' complicated?

I'm exhausted, which I didn't think was possible. I'm starting to wonder if being away from the Tall One is draining me...shit, I just called him the Tall One, what's wrong with me? Slendershit, Slenderfuck, Slendercock. There, much better.

I'm worried if I don't get a recharge soon, I won't be able to fend off any other Revenants. I'm considering going to the Other Side for a bit, to see if that helps, but if I do, Slendershit will be alerted to me. What do I do?

Stay Frosty

Everything went off without a hitch. This time, at least. I'm gonna have to come up with new ideas in the future but this plan worked.

I went to this lovely corrie lake on top of Coumshingaun, one of the Comeragh Mountains, which are in the southeast of *Ireland*. The lake is backed by a huge glacial amphitheatre and with the weather we've been having lately (shit), the whole place was frozen. Getting up there was difficult, let me tell you.

But I managed to get up there anyway, then I waited. Sure enough, a few hours later, Aria caught up with me.

At this point, it may be prudent to remind you of two important things about Revenants like Aria and I;

1. We have inhuman strength.
2. We are hypersensitised to everything.

So, on top of these ice-cold mountain, both of us wrapped up really, really well to keep the cold out, we started fighting, as you do. But here's the thing; Aria is fucking excellent at using urban terrain to her advantage but knows shit all about more...scenic settings. In short;

Have any of you ever fallen into a frozen lake? Shit is cold. Now, imagine that but imagine you're so sensitive that a light breeze makes you itch like you have a fucking rash. Ice-cold water is like lava to us. So understandably, when I slammed Aria through the ice, she was incapacitated pretty fast. As in, she died. I don't know whether it was the shock shorted out her heart or she drowned, but either way, I killed a Revenant, which naturally proves my theory that we can be killed. If I'd found this out a few months ago, I would have thrown myself into the lake, but now...

Now, I'm going to start hunting down and killing off the Revenants. Slendershit is probably planning to mobilise them more actively from now, especially after the week of attacks proved at least partially effective. I can almost guarantee that there will be Revenants at the Solistice. To all those participating in the Solistice; use their hypersensitivity against them. The extremes of temperature, bright lights, loud noises, etc. will all be effective against them. Once you have them incapacitated, go for non-wounding kills, don't bother injuring. An injury is just that; an injury, and we have a healing factor. Strangulation is probably your best bet, but beyond that, electrocution would work, perhaps?

So yeah, I'm gonna keep running for now. Once I come up with my next plan, I'll strike again. Until then, I have to keep moving.

Reach out.

Attack, Defend, Destroy

So, I was right. One of my old associates tracked me down. It wasn't Slate, thankfully. That man's like a bear. There's a reason I had to try and bury him to incapacitate him. It was Aria this time. I know, the most unfortunate fucking name.

She found me hiding in a farm shed. The fight was pretty closely fought. I broke her arm and held it the wrong way while it healed. That incapacitated her long enough for me to escape.

The snow has largely subsided but the ice has gotten worse. It was -5 degrees Celsius this morning. I'm wrapped up really heavily, which slows me down, but the cold would probably give me a heart attack if I unwrapped. I'm trekking across the mountains now. I won't say which range but I know where I'm headed to. If all goes as planned, I might be able to put one or more of the other Revenants out of commission. If not, I'll be put out of commission.

Reach out.

If anyone's been reading Irish weather reports (doubtful), you'll know that we're currently suffering from snow and ice. Of course, this being Ireland, where we never get snow or ice, the whole country nearly ground to a standstill from six inches.

So, ordinarily, this wouldn't be a problem for me, since ordinarily, I live in a quarry bending to Slendershit's will. Now, however, I've betrayed the cause of the most dangerous creature who has ever existed and am on the run in a small country, changing town every day to avoid getting tracked and captured.

So, when my next bus fails to materialise, there are problems.

I'm stuck. Someone from Team Slender is gonna find me tonight. Shit will go down.

Eulogy for the Fallen

Farewell to Robert, Nessa, Jeff, Brian and Melody.

The Revel by Bartholomew Dowling

We meet 'neath the sounding rafter,
And the walls all around are bare;
As they shout back our peals of laughter
It seems that the dead are there.
Then stand to your glasses, steady!
We drink in our comrades eyes:
One cup to the dead already-
Hurrah for the next that dies!

Not here are the goblets glowing,
Not here is the vintage sweet;
'Tis cold as our hearts are growing,
And dark as the doom we meet.
But stand to your glasses, steady!
And soon shall our pulses rise:
A cup to the dead already-
Hurrah for the next that dies!

There's many a hand that's shaking,
And many a cheek that's sunk;
But soon, though our hearts are breaking,
They'll burn with the wine we've drunk.
Then stand to your glasses, steady!
'Tis here the revival lies:
Quaff a cup to the dead already-
Hurrah for the next that dies.

Time was when we laughed at others;
We thought we were wiser then;
Ha! Ha! Let them think of their mothers,
Who hope to see them again.
No! stand to your glasses, steady!
The thoughtless is here the wise:
One cup to the dead already-
Hurrah for the next that dies!

Not a sigh for the lot that darkles,
Not a tear for the friends that sink-,
We'll fall, 'midst the wine-cup's sparkles,
As mute as the wine we drink.
Come, stand to your glasses, steadyl!
'Tis this that the respite buys:
A cup to the dead already-
Hurrah for the next that dies!

There's a mist on the glass congealing,
'Tis the hurricane's sultry breath;
And thus does the warmth of feeling
Turn ice in the grasp of Death.
But stand to your glasses, steady!
For a moment the vapor flies:
Quaff a cup to the dead already-
Hurrah for the next that dies!

Who dreads to the dust returning?
Who shrinks from the sable shore,
Where the high and haughty yearning
Of the soul can sting no more?
No, stand to your glasses, steady!
The world is a world of lies:
A cup to the dead already-
And hurrah for the next that dies!

Cut off from the land that bore us,
Betrayed by the land we find,
When the brightest have gone before us,
And the dullest are most behind-
Stand, stand to your glasses, steady!
'Tis all we have left to prize:
One cup to the dead already-
Hurrah for the next that dies!
